Audio Engineer


Weekday shop work (prep, maintenence, repair, etc) and weekday/weekend gigs (local/regional)

Looking for a motivated individual with at least two years experience in live sound. We work hard, but the reward is in the experience, the high caliber equipment you will work with, and the wide variety of situations you will encounter and learn to master. Prior knowledge and experience is a must, but also interested in someone who still has a bit to learn and is open to learning. Other duties will include learning/doing cable repair, speaker repair, soldering, electronics repair, measurement software, familiarity with rigging and safety procedures. Reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license are a must. Applicant should be physically fit – able to lift 75lbs.

Weekdays 9 to 6 work in the shop. Total hours vary from 20 to 40 based on need and show conflicts.

Duties include prepping shows, loading trucks, testing and repairing equipment.

Weekends you will be assigned shows to work. Shows average about 2 to 3 per week over the course of the year.

Duties include supervising labor crews, setting up PA in various scenarios, tuning and time aligning systems, troubleshooting and onsite repairs and adjustments as necessary, mixing FOH / MON, protecting our equipment from rain and guest engineers and loading out.

We do one-offs, festivals, occasional tours, rock and roll, corporate, raves, speaker on a stick, symphonies...... A little bit of everything.

Pay is based on experience.  Shop hours are paid hourly.  Show rates apply for on site shows. 

We are mainly looking to hire full-time year-round company guys (benefits available), but also open to temp and contract engineers to help with gigs during April, May, June, September, and October.

Lighting Technician


Responsible for working as part of the lighting team to install, maintain and operate lighting equipment and systems in a safe and consistent manner. All duties are to be performed in accordance with company policies, practices, and procedures. Inspect and maintain lighting equipment; update maintenance and inspection records as directed. Develop a thorough knowledge of all lighting equipment specific to the event production in order to operate equipment safely. Must maintain a flexible schedule for work calls. Perform all other job related duties as requested.

  • Work with high amperage/voltage electricity.
  • Transport and handle heavy equipment and loads.
  • Maintain rental equipment, ensuring care is taken during transportation, handling, and storage.
  • Perform all other job related duties as requested.

Required:

  • At least 2 years experience.
  • Working knowledge of current lighting technologies including various LED and moving light fixtures, pixel mapping, ArtNet and other protocols are required.
  • Ability to program and operate all Hog and Grand MA Series consoles.
  • Ability to work well under pressure.
  • Ability to communicate with clients, and provide the highest possible level of customer service.
  • Working knowledge of production light design, and general working knowledge of rigging.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Interpersonal skills to deal effectively with all business contacts.
  • Professional appearance and demeanor.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Able to effectively communicate in English, in both written and oral forms.
  • Ability to work independently, or as part of a team.
  • Must be flexible with scheduling.
  • Flexibility to work a varied and ever changing schedule, including nights, weekends, and early mornings with some travel.
  • A valid driver's license and clean driving record.
  • Professional appearance and demeanor.

Preferred:

  • Corporate a/v experience is a plus
  • Rigging experience is not required, but considered a plus
  • Working with LED Video Walls is a plus

Our company, with over thirty years of experience supplying design, show management, sound, lighting, video, staging and backline, is in search of someone who wants to work in a small office, where everyone feels like family.

Key Responsibilities

Perform office tasks upon request which may include the following and more:

This position will begin as a temporary employment for the first 90 days at 30 hours per week during normal business hours Monday thru Friday, between 9 am and 5 pm. We may expand those hours to full-time at a later date. This is an hourly wage position ranging from $11 to $14 an hour, depending on your qualifications.
